A 9 and Under and 10 and Under team wen to Corby on Sunday, 27 October, to play against Norfolk and came home victorious winning 104 matches overall, whilst Norfolk won 24 matches overall. Congratulations to both Cambridgeshire teams.

Ellie won the Boston October Half Term Indoor Grade 4 Girls 10 and Under Tournament on 24 October 2019. Well done Ellie.
Olivia won the WRT 9 and Under at Hills Road on 12th October and Navya came third. Well done to both players.
Tiberius was runner up in the Hills Road 9 and Under Grade 3 Winter Regional Tour on Sunday 13 October 2019. He won all of his matches apart from the final where he lost to Nicolas from Middlesex 7-4, 11-9. Well done Tiberius.
In August Daisy won the Grade 3 tournament in Frinton beating Millie in the final Daisy and Millie then joined forces and were the runners up in the Grade 3 U14 doubles event in Felixstowe. Daisy was also runner up in the U12 and U14 events at the Festival of Tennis being beaten both times by Marennah. Lastly. Daisy won the U12 Grade 3 Newhaven tournament in Edinburgh on September 29th. Congratulations.
Ryan won the County U14 Boys Road to Wimbledon event at Hills Road in July and went on to play in the National event at Wimbledon during August, which was a great experience.
Arthur came second in the East Winter County Tour 9U (grade 4) at Hills Rd last Sunday. He lost in the final to Oscar Clark from Suffolk 10-8. Well done to Arthur.
The Cambs League held it’s “Grays Cup Finals” event at Hills Road on Saturday 5th October. This is a cup knockout competition for teams in Division 3 or below of the summer league
The Mens final was played between Newmarket and Culford. Newmarket last won the cup in 1979 and their team comprised of Duarte Lucena, Alex Swarbrick, Moya Delgado and Bruce Tarran. Culford were making a first appearance in the final and were represented by Darren Matthews. Reece Laffar, David Hurren and Andrew Hopwood. A very good contest saw Newmarket triumph by 7 sets to 1 The Ladies final was a contest between David Lloyd and Great Shelford. David Lloyd won the cup two year ago in 2017. Great Shelford had never won the Ladies Grays Cup. A really close and well fought battle ended with Shelford just getting the victory by 5-3. The Shelford team was captained by Ifthi Shareef playing with Wendy Butler, plus Jenny Fleck with Jemima Halliwell. David Lloyds captain was Grainne Newark playing with Hazel Boyd and their other pair were Lilia Halyova with Claudia Ruggieero. Both Cups were presented by Sylvia Morton who is retiring from the League Committee after long years of fantastic commitment. Aditi won the 9 and Under grade 4 event in Northampton on Sunday 29 September. Congratulations to Aditi.
Bibiana has had a successful summer winning the Grade 3 Loughborough University Open. Runner up in the Grade 3 Ipswich Sport Club Gotelee Junior Open, the Dukes Meadwo Long Tennis Championships and the Cambridge Festival of Tennis. Bibiana achieved 3rd place in the Grade 3 Georgians Open, the Cambridge Summer Open and the Dorset Open and was 4th in the Cambridge Easter Open. She also was runner up in the Grade 4 Riverside Easter Open and the Dunstable Junior Open and lastly Bibiana won the Grade 5 David Lloyd tournament in Aspley. Well done to Bibiana for a great season.
