Cambs County Tennis Teams have had a great 2017 season with 4 County teams getting
promotion in the Seniors’ National Inter County Summer Tennis leagues.
Many congratulations to 3 of our county Ladies Teams and their Captains: the 40s promoted to Division 2 (Rachel Hill/Caroline Thornton), 50s to Division 2 (Trish Esplin) and 70s to Division 1 (Tisha Hug) and our Men’s 60s to Division 2 (Mark Sanders).
Many congratulations to many individual successes to ALAN JORDAN who reached the semis of 50s Singles, and then was R/U with SCOTT MARTIN in the 50s doubles at the S. England Championships, Eastbourne. Also congratulations to PIETER VAN HOUTEN who was R/U in the British Clay Courts Championships in 45s singles and then won the doubles. Also to DAVID MILLS who was R/U in the British Indoors 45s doubles and to BOB HARROWER who won 70s men's doubles at Frinton, and was R/U in the mixed doubles at The International Adriatic Open and The Mallorca Open. Then many congratulations to JENNY CHIN who won the 60s singles, at the S. England Championships, Eastbourne, and was R/U at Frinton National Seniors Championships, 60s singles and then won the Mixed.

Cambs County Men's 45s Team, playing for Oundle Tennis Club, won the finals of THE NATIONAL INTER-CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS.
This is a tremendous achievement as they have had to play different clubs in a knock out competition, from all over the UK to reach and win the finals last Saturday
