![]() Another impressive run to an ITF Grade 4 title was achieved by Harry Wendelken. The Cambridgeshire player, who turned 15 in December, was already ranked high enough to gain an 11th seeding position in Hamburg, and came out top after several hard fought 3 setters in the closing rounds. First he eased past Guido Marson (ITA)(5) in Round 3 before seeing off the top seeded German Bastien Presuhn 7-5 in the 3rd. A bizarre scoreline of 0-6 6-0 6-2 followed against the Greek Alexandros Skorilas (4) before Harry notched his first ITF title against Lenard Soha (HUN) 7-6 2-6 6-2. Wendelken is one of a number of prominent Brits in this age group, including Jack Draper (ITF 83) and Anton Matusevich (ITF 152), but has perhaps been sailing along underneath the radar. This win gives notice of his winning abilities; improves his confidence and his ranking by 117 places; and serves notice of his undoubted potential.
